Anyone, any society, any religion, any political system has to respect ritual of the human being, family, natural society, religious society. We have to obey a lot of rituals in the society, eating and drinking ritual, worship, funerals, rituals of family, society, working place, place of having less people, having a lot of people, religious rituals, wedding rituals, giving birth to children, divorce, Tet holidays, Year End Party, New Year Party, Rituals of beginning business or starting war, ending war.
In this paragraph, we should pay attention to the statement “ Ritual is respecting spirit”.
Let’s analyze spirit of a living or dead person. In fact, spirit is a will of carrying a wish. There are a lot.
1.1 Carrying out the word “Loyalty” in work
A person carries out a lot of contract of building house, for example in 10 years, or 20 years. They finish the contract, and the products are beautiful houses… Thus the procedure of finishing the good work has happened and he is respected by customers. Thus, he has achieved loyalty. However, the human being has much loyalty in different field such as in family, in friends, in work at company… As a result other words such as: “filial love, humanity, gentlemanship, righteousness, wisdom, courage, Tao, meditation, love” … has all appeared in that person. In order to access correctly, he himself also needs some rituals like: how he dresses to deserve respect from other people.
Behaviors of respecting each other, respecting people having ambition, carrying out many useful things for the society, are also respecting soul. Each person can do many useful things for the society. When doing so, their halo is very large and denser than other people. In other word, their spirit body is more clearly than others. Just the effort of practicing respiratory training chanting mind knowledge has formed a new kind of human being to be willing to do many useful things for the society.
Young people often do not respect ritual or the society just educates plain technologies, literature, arts, sociology which leads to the consequence: a group of youth does not respect elder people, people who have effort for the country. After these youth graduate some field and enter life, work, basically they just know to collect personal benefits for themselves without remembering respecting the team, elder people who have brought jobs for them. Normally, a company which works well within some decades depends on some individuals; maybe it is the owner of the company or a group of leaders. If other individuals want to have job, they have to be shared job, if they want to complete the task, they have to be instructed, if they want to earn a lot of money, they have to devote for general benefits, for good team, have to respect the owner who has brought jobs for them to support their families.
Having no ritual means not respecting the soul. In the human body, it exists two parallel parts: the body and the soul (mind). The older we are, the more rate soul body takes (rate affects each other). Thus, rituals are not applied to respect people who have great contributions, but rituals are the services which are respected by others and shown by rituals.
1.2. Ritual society of Europe and Asia
Ritual society of Europe is: for the human being, ritual society of Asia is: for God. One side is for each individual, one side is for respect of Gods. We can conclude that some outstanding individuals are similar to God, Buddha. Thus, European rituals plus Asian rituals, then simplify to become international rituals (earth rituals)
European rituals consider individuals or the family important. They dress carefully: men wear black jackets, shirts, cravats, women wear dresses of famous fashion brands. Man and woman, when dating, are very polite and present each other expensive things. In their house, there is a lot of furniture. When a couple is eating in, there also dress carefully, use perfume and talk politely. When taking part in sport, they have to have correlative sport clothes. Going to work with vest, going to party with expensive vest, expensive cars. They love in villa with swimming pool… Everything must be in a good form. Apart from individual- family, society and works, European also pays attention to religion. On holidays, Sundays, they come to church, wedding also happens in church.
Developed countries in Asia such as: Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore have correlative rituals with other developed countries in Europe. They have Hinduism, Buddhism… other countries in Asia such as: Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia has mainly worship genies and Buddha.
I used to live in Europe for 10 years (17 years old to 27 years old). I am very happy when remembering the time living in Praha, Czech’s capital. Life of ritual for human being is very beautiful (It is true because I was a youth at that time)
From 1979 to now (2009), I return to Vietnam and live in the life of ritual for genies.
In fact, in developing countries, there will be a one sided tendency between rituals for human being and rituals for genies. It is said that poverty leads to bad clothes, ugly space rituals without dance party and amateur sport events. When the people are poor, they pray for prosperity, hope for genies to help? Thus, events in pagodas in Vietnam:
Apart from genies rituals, there are also pray for a lot of money for oneself and for their family. In Vietnam, worshipping genies is very popular. Our people have religions such as Christianity, Protestantism, Buddhism or Muslim. However, Buddhism is about 70%, Christianity is about 20%. In analyze, which is rituals? Christianity advocates: God is the unique; the whole human kind should love each other, support each other and protect the society that God made. It is Christianity that advocates for the human being: all for one and one for all. And the ritual for human being has created the veneration for God. That is a great light which makes Christianity holds more than half of the world population.
